Community wellness hub. 25+ years of plant-based nutrition coaching, health education and community programmes.
The Plant Based Afrikan Center for Nutrition (PBA Center) is a leading community wellness hub dedicated to guiding clients toward optimal health using evidence-based plant-based nutrition strategies. For more than 25 years, the PBA Center has empowered people, particularly those of African descent, to improve health, mitigate disease and achieve lasting results through wholesome, plant-based living.
Founded by Sadeek Colquitt, the centre offers The PBA Personal Protocol (a 30-to-90-day comprehensive health transformation programme), nutrition coaching, community cooking workshops, health screenings and the Plant-Based Afrikan Support Village subscription programme. Their 31-Day January Vegan Challenge has helped thousands take their first steps toward a plant-based lifestyle.
Their mission is to combat diet-related diseases through education, access to wholesome food and a deep cultural connection to ancestral plant-based traditions. The PBA Center is closely connected to the Village of Peace community and carries forward the community's 50-year legacy of plant-based living into Chicago's African American communities.
